Memphis Botanic Gets A Throne

What to do on a rainy day?? Last year re-removed this declining tree near Overton Park. We donated several pieces of the trunk to our friends at the Memphis botanic gardens as the tree was over 200 years old. Today we are creating a throne for the children’s garden, a checkerboard, display slabs To note Memphis history associated with the growth rings and replacement wood pieces for a walking bridge. Special thanks to Kent Farmer, Kyle McLane, Gina Harris, Maryhelen Butler, & Timberline Tree & Lawn Care For making this project possible.
